The history of Fidelity Lodge No. 192 begins on March 14, 1964 with the organization of the Sojourners Masonic Club of Fort Collins, Colorado and the election of its president, Clarence Conrad Carlson.

A Petition for Dispensation was submitted to the Grand Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Colorado on July 31, 1964 which contained the signatures of 53 Sojourner Master Masons from 12 states.  On August 12, Most Worshipful Grand Master Charles L. Thompson presented a dispensation to Fidelity Lodge, U.D. and three petitions were received for the degrees of Masonry.  Because so many Masonic related functions were occurring every night during the week at the Masonic Temple, only weekends were available for meetings and Fidelity elected to hold their communications on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.  This practice continued until September 1984 when stated communications were moved to the second and fourth Thursday of each month.

Since the granting of its Charter, Fidelity Lodge has continued to be very active in Fort Collins Freemasonry, participating in fraternal peace and harmony with its sister Lodge, Collins Lodge No. 19, on many joint activities and projects such as the annual Public Schools Recognition Night.  Fidelity Lodge participates annually with the Colorado Masons’ Benevolent Fund Association in interviewing applicants for scholastic scholarships up to $10,000 per year for four years for a total of $40,000.  In addition, each year Fidelity Lodge awards local scholastic scholarships up to $1,000 to local high school seniors.  Fidelity Lodge has sponsored a student to attend the Colorado Masons High School Band Camp each year since its inception in 2002.  In 2007, Fidelity Lodge was instrumental in championing the Colorado Masons Child Identification Program known as “kIDs” and has sponsored several clinics at schools and churches throughout Fort Collins.  Fidelity Lodge also honors the Masonic Widows living in the Fort Collins area by hosting an annual luncheon in their honor.

Fidelity Lodge No. 192 has been recognized as an Honor Lodge Recipient by the Grand Lodge of Colorado in 1987, 1994, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.  It was also recognized as the “Colorado Lodge of the Year” for 2009 and “Secretary of the Year” for 2012 by the Grand Lodge of Colorado.

The members of Fidelity Lodge are active in York Rite and Scottish Rite Freemasonry in addition to other appendant and concordant Masonic organizations such as Order of the Eastern Star, Job’s Daughters International, Rainbow International for Girls and DeMolay International.  Several members of the Lodge have served as Colorado Grand Officers in these various organizations
